As Managing Editor of TEDMED, Lisa led the search for health & medicine's game changers. She selected and coached hundreds of speakers, as well as hosting the annual global broadcast from the Opera House of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Can the next Einstein come from Africa? For the inaugural event in 2016, Lisa coached 30 of Africa's top young scientists share how their research will shape the futures of Africa and the world. This exclusive invite-only event, hosted by the Presidents of Senegal and Rwanda, was the first global scientific conference held on African soil. She returned in 2018 to provide coaching and advisory work for 120 of their young scientists, including the Fellows’ plenary session Spotlight Talks, covering topics from string theory and cosmology to rural health care, applied nanotechnology and sustainable energy.
Emerge Impact + Music was a new concept in festivals, featuring emerging voices in music and activism on the very same stages.
The founders asked Lisa to improve the experience for festival-goers, who often have to choose between events that are good for the mind and ones that are fun for the ears.
So we developed showcases where the music and the talks are intertwined. We showcased musicians speaking about how to speak truth to power, how their spirituality fuels their music and their connection to fans, how to succeed in a sea of social media, staying mentally healthy as a touring musician on the rise, and the future of robot music.

Why would the world's largest urban music festival need 40 Speakers? Because our ideas are part of what makes Life Beautiful. Mixing performers like Kanye West with leading scientists, activists, social media stars and business leaders, the 2014 Festival's speakers included Penn & Teller, Pussy Riot, UFC champion Demetrious Johnson, chef Jose Andres, Game of Thrones conlanger David J. Petersen, former Mayor and mafia lawyer Oscar Goodman, pancake juggler Scot Nery, and Mel & Patricia Ziegler, the founders of Banana Republic.

In conjunction with The Tenth, Lisa commissioned this print magazines first theatrical piece, The Fairytale Ball. The 3-hour interactive showcase told the story of the House Ballroom tradition that started with the black and hispanic LGBTQ community in Harlem, and has become a worldwide phenomenon since. But their story has never been told by the community themselves. Premiering at the Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas, legends from across the international ballroom scene come together for the first time to tell the true story of the BTS community who taught Madonna and Rihanna how to walk the runway. BTS no more.
IEG World is the largest annual trade conference for sponsorship marketing. After being acquired in 2018 by leading e-sports experiential marketing agency Engine Shop, leadership sought a refresh of the even, including a future-focused lineup of business leaders. The program, themed “Blur” focused on “mass niche” trends and the convergence of traditional marketing silos.

How was House Ballroom birthed into this world? The story, told by the scene’s Legends and Icons through discussion, testimony and performance. Culminating in a colorful vogue battle, one winner prevailed and claimed the night’s prize in this unique blend of education, performance and social gathering.
